Not in the best of places again! Bloody hell, getting a bit sick of this!
Been working a lot at the vocation in the last three weeks (10 days out of 12), both relieving and at my one day a week job-though that turned into three days on the trot when my lead teacher was struck by the lurgy. Must remember that working and my head don't always agree and I need to remember to look after me and my well being before feeling guilted into covering for friends!

Been lacking confidence in everything-goes with the territory I guess. Haven't had much time to sew but have finished and posted a few things off. Feeling that my work is inferior to the lovely friends in craftland I have made. Gotta remember my 'artwork' is valid and doesn't need outside affirmation (though would be nice). See what I mean- the head is well and truly messed up.

This little chap has gone off to spend his life in the US, in a classroom full of owls (?). He was my first go at a kiwi and a crafty friend Becky had just sent out a plea for owly things for her new classroom and I thought "I gotta be different!"
She is the lovely Becky who sent me this...
and who blogs here

I have also received this piece of gorgeousness in the post from Lisa Revoir Kramp. We were obviously separated at birth as I sent her Inigo in the Movie Swap too. This one however has been mentioned in dispatches (Craftster and Mr X Stitch). Biosecurity in NZ didn't like it though-took the rice out of the pillow and left it to tip out into my car. So Inigo is now nicely framed!

I have also sent Lisa a tote to replace the one that was stolen, when she was working on Inigo. Only a quick jobby but it has a couple of Firefly quotes on it in Chinese (sort of). One says 'goh se' which means crap and the olonger one is what Shepherd Book thought of the men who tortured Mal and Wash ( and what I think applies to the thieves of LIsa's embroidery) I can't possibly type what it says here-you may need to look it up!

I have also been working on a PQ swap. Giddy Girlie is getting my food theme thingy. The boy has been fundraising by selling Cadburys chocolate so I became a little obsessed, especially with the purple. I also got to try Shisha stitch to attach the discs. By the fourth one I was getting there!

I have also been slowly working on my needle and button card embroideries. Here is the second which is now completed and the third is a work in progress. Really enjoying the subtle variegated threads.

or at least it would here if the photo would load,God I hate living in the third bloody world

ooh there it is finally a whole day later!
