A little update

It has been one of those months... a month for finishing stuff, getting back into the crafty groove. Actually did a craft fair this month though it was far from successful financially! Might have had something to do with the fact I was stuck up a corner with v. little access to my table. Ho hum!

Finally managed to finish the Lowry (after 5 years and a plane journey to the other side of the world!) Didn't like doing it much, like it more now it is framed. Can you spot the little addition?

Just n case you missed it. A fellow sewist suggested I add a little item. So I unpicked a few stitches, added it in (in official tardis colours!) and only then noticed the chap in the fez standing next to it...karma?

Also got round to doing something with my urban thread bird design that I stitched up months ago. This one I have listed on my felt site but might just have to stay at home with me!

I also made another little friend. One of C's friends had seen Sebatsion (check out an earlier post) and begged me to make her one. Had to oblige didn't I? He was so cute i had to list him on felt too ( and sold one in a few hours!)

Then I also got involved in another Phat Quarter swap on Flickr. I love these and have received some amazing things in return. The theme this time was 'books' and I asked my swappee (?) what she liked. Strangely enough I had heard of lots of her faves but had never read them. Got Slaughterhouse 5 from the library and the volume I chose as my inspiration. I love the font on the cover and the cartoons, Oddly I remembered inthe course of reading and sewing that I had met the author in 1991 when I was studying at W&L. Didn't know what all the fuss was about then!!!

And finally (for now) a little tribute to our fave tv prog. Thursday nights are now the night we stop everything!

An eclectic little mixture!!! Says a lot about my brain at the moment!
